When the new “F1: The Movie” starring Brad Pitt started gaining momentum in June, a group of PR pros inside Pitchcraft saw the perfect chance to turn the hype into bold F1 travel PR wins for their clients.
Kate Little of Hughes Agency was the first to call out the opportunity. Her client, Hotel Hartness in Greenville, S.C., had recently launched an exclusive luxury driving experience for guests, creating a perfect tie-in to the film’s buzz.
A Collaborative Pitch Callout
“When seeing all the F1 frenzy headlines around the new movie, it just hit me,” says Kate. “I immediately went out to the Pitchcraft community with the idea to team up on the trend pitch, [but] we had to move fast, since the movie’s premiere was a little over a week away.”
Within moments of posting her idea inside Pitchcraft, she had interest from two more PR pros with clients offering luxury driving experiences: Alexandra Wensley of Alex Wensley Communications and Daniella Delgado of The Zimmerman Agency.
The trio put a call on the calendar for the next morning; worked together on the pitch in a shared Google doc; and immediately began reaching out to journalists. This quick-turnaround collaboration resulted in wins for all three PR pros, landing coverage in numerous national and regional outlets, including Florida Today, Yahoo! Life, MSN, Inspirations & Celebrations and The Finnoexpert.
How Pitchcraft Fosters Collaboration
These hits were made possible by Pitchcraft, a one-of-a-kind platform that fosters collaboration over competition. The mindset of being on the same team is a big differentiator of Pitchcraft’s community.
“I’m grateful to Pitchcraft for making these kinds of collaborations possible,” says Alexandra, who added that working together with these two colleagues was both fun and easy. “This was such a great example of how the community helps us amplify ideas and opportunities we may not have found on our own.”
Two of Alexandra’s clients were included in the resulting pieces: Acqualina Resort & Residences in Miami and AVA Resort Cancun in Mexico.
Pitching Smarter, Together
Daniella was thrilled with the outcome for her client, The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort in Rhode Island, as well. “Both Kate and Alex were incredible partners to work with for this initiative, and I had such a great time working with them,” she says. “This is exactly why I love this Pitchcraft community!”
At Pitchcraft, collaborative pitching isn’t just a nice idea — it’s built into how our community operates. This F1 travel PR success story shows how working together on a timely idea with a strong news hook and pop-culture tie-in leads to stronger stories, faster results and more meaningful coverage.
